Welcome to the Scots Guards association (Berks Bucks & Oxon) website. Adopting the Regimental motto UNITAR FORTAR ( stronger through unity) of 2nd Battalion Scots Guards when that unit was placed into suspended animation, the band has been a centre of bagpipe and drumming excellence in the South of England for over 10 years.

The wider band membership is made up of personnel from both military and civilian musical backgrounds. This gives the band a unique blend of military precision, creative flair and musical versatility. Committed to playing bagpipes and Drums to the highest possible standard, the organisation has an unrivalled and progressive structured learning programme that utilises the use of the most up to date technologies, whilst retaining the traditional facets of the cultural heritage of the instrumentation. Services

Pipers' add pomp and circumstance to any special occasion, Church weddings, civil ceremonies, birthday, retirement, Burn's Night and St. Andrew's Night celebrations, Corporate dinners, events, anniversaries and private parties. Many of our personnel have played at Royal and civic occasions and are familiar with the finer detail of etiquette and performing in high pressure environments.

Weddings

Corporate Events

The Scots Guards Association has provided bagpipers and drummers for numerous Corporations', Entertainment Agencies' Event Organisers', and Charity Balls throughout the United Kingdom and abroad. The band management is experienced in the movement of large numbers of personnel overseas on both short and long haul flights. We can provide a variety of services from full marching band display, mini-band, to solo piper. Highland dancers in traditional or contemporary costume adds glamour and animation to any performance.

Particularly experienced in providing sound tracks for the film industry, radio and Television; bagpipers' and drummers' from this organisation regularly appear in live or recorded performances throughout the UK.

Funerals

Bagpipes lend an immediate dignity to the funeral service of any Scot or Irish ex-patriot. What more fitting tribute can there be to any former military personnel, than the haunting strains of a funeral lament followed by the bagpiper marching into the distance.

The Scots Guards Association Grade IIIa band are fully committed members of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association and view competition as an integral part of the organisations strive for excellence. Promoting competition from within Pipers' and drummers' are encouraged to attain the necessary standard by a progressive learning and support programme of one to one and group instruction. A British Army qualified Pipe Major who has competed at Grade I and II level, who is embarking on his adjudicators accreditation, a Band President who is a serving Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association "A" Panel Adjudicator and Former Grade I Pipe Major and a Grade I Drumming instructor give the band a un-rivalled combined level of expertise and experience.
